Visit Mooresville is proud to offer five Sports Event Development Grants, each awarding up to $5,000 to support sporting events that attract overnight visitors to Mooresville, NC! Funded by local occupancy tax revenue, these grants help turn great sporting events into powerful tourism drivers supporting local businesses, hotels, and our community.
If you're planning a new or expanding sporting event in 2026 that brings athletes, teams, and fans to Mooresville, this grant is your opportunity to make a greater impact!
Eligible applicants include local sports clubs, facilities, associations, and agencies. To qualify, events must take place in 2026, and generate a minimum of 40 hotel room nights.
