America’s 250th: A Southern Celebration at the Mooresville Museum
On July 18, 2026, join us at 132 E Center Ave as we commemorate America’s 250th with a community cookout rooted in local history.

The South received word of the Declaration of Independence weeks after July 4th. In recognition of that historic delay, Mooresville is celebrating with a traditional Southern gathering—free hot dogs, plus brews, popsicles, Mr. Softy ice cream, music, a firetruck visit, and hands‑on activities for families. Visitors are invited to tour the museum and enjoy an afternoon of fellowship and reflection.

Bring a chair to sit a spell, wear your patriotic best, and help us honor the spirit of independence as Mooresville continues to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday.
