The aloft hosts one foster dog at a time (pictured above) through the Piedmont Animal Rescue. Locals and visitors have met and fallen in love with these dogs 77 times - and counting! Yes, the sweet pup pictured above is their 77th successful foster-to-adopt dog. There’s nothing quite like being greeted with sloppy kisses and wagging tails. Not only can you hang out with the resident foster dog, but your own sweet fur baby is more than welcome.

Limited pet rooms are available, so make sure to book your hotel in advance. This hotel features a business center, complimentary Wi-Fi access, an outdoor pool and a fitness center.

TownePlace Suites by Marriott

An extended-stay hotel, the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Mooresville is located conveniently off I-77 at Exit 33 at 139 Gateway Boulevard. This hotel features spacious suites with fully equipped kitchens, luxurious bedding, a complimentary breakfast buffet, a fitness center, media room, an indoor saltwater pool and whirlpool spa, a 24-hour market and welcomes pets with certain weight restrictions.

Other Pet-Friendly Spots Around Mooresville

Beer Lab, Ghostface Brewing, and King Canary Brewing welcome leashed dogs on their outdoor patios, but Beer Lab allows all leashed dogs inside as well. They even feature a weekly Dog Walk on Wednesday evenings, so you and your furry friend can get some exercise before you belly up to the bar.

The Blue Parrot Grill is also a dog friendly spot, with many canines arriving by boat to soak in the sun on the waterfront deck.

Lake Norman State Park is the perfect spot for hitting the trails with your fur baby. More than 30 miles of hiking trails await you, with plenty of places to stop and play in the water. And we won’t say the trails are good just for dogs, there is even a feline or two that has been spotted in the park!
