Our parks and venues offer top-notch sporting facilities, including 2 grass and 4 turf soccer fields, 11 baseball and softball fields, 21 tennis courts (1 facility with 14 courts and 1 with 7), 6 pickle ball courts and 2 indoor facilities for basketball, volleyball, gymnastics and martial arts tournaments. Mazeppa Park now has 6 miles of mountain bike trails. Mooresville is also home to a Motorplex that hosts world-class professional karting events. Last, but certainly not least, our beautiful Lake Norman is home to major bass fishing tournaments, regattas, and all types of water-sports competitions.

Cornelius Road Park

Baseball, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, Tennis Courts

Four baseball/softball fields, each have dirt infields, up to 80′ bases, portable pitching mounds, permanent fence at 250′, temporary fence available at 200′. Three full size multi-purpose grass fields for soccer or lacrosse. Six tennis courts, lights, concessions, restrooms.

Officer Jordan Sheldon Memorial Dog Park’s grand opening was June 5, 2021. The dog park, at the Cornelius Road Park, spans 2.2 acres and offers amenities such as water stations and public seating, as well as signs and artwork to honor Sheldon, but it isn’t all for play either. The park includes a K-9 agility course for officers to train with their dogs and interact with the community, according to the Town of Mooresville.

The Lake Norman Tennis Center is a brand-new state-of-the-art tennis center located on 10 acres featuring 5 Indoor Heated Plexi-Cushion Hard Courts, 6 Outdoor Sub-Irrigated HarTru Clay Courts, 3 Outdoor Hard Courts, & 6 Pickle Ball courts. Professional Quality Stadium Lighting, 11,000 Sq/Ft Clubhouse with Pro Shop, Fitness and Agility Training Room, Conference Room and Classroom Setting, Locker Rooms With Shower Facilities, and Elevated Viewing Area.

Mako Beach Volleyball Club has 4 pro-quality sand courts available for play day or night in an atmosphere where teams can play competitively or have fun with friends and work colleagues in an after-work recreation league. Our courtside tiki bar serves cold beer, water, soft drinks and light snacks. Coed weekly leagues are offered for all skill levels and individuals without a team may join as free agents. Courts are available to rent for beach parties, fundraisers, team building events and more. Join a league or book a beach party today! The club is open on league nights or by reservation.

Mazeppa Road Park

Sports complex for soccer, lacrosse, softball, baseball and mountain bike trail. Features six full size soccer fields, four turf fields and two grass fields, all with lights, concessions, restrooms and 374 parking spaces. Features one regulation baseball field, 60′ 6″ dirt pitching mound and 90′ bases; three softball fields, 300′ fence and temporary fence for 200′ and 250′, up to 80′ bases. All with lights, concessions, restrooms and 228 parking spaces. The mountain bike trail boasts sweeping turns and berms and a couple of rock gardens that will appeal to all skill levels. Currently 6 miles of trail.
